This Saturday will see a rather large Lotto Powerball Jackpot by New Zealand's standards. If buying a ticket, what chance is there of winning? Please study the below graphic supplied by Lotto NZ.
You will see the chance of winning Powerball division one is 1:38,383,800.
The chance of any line winning Lotto first division is 1:3,838,380
My thinking here would be to have your favourite six numbers covered by all the power balls available; that way, if your six numbers come up, you're guaranteed the first division Powerball prize, or a share of it. In NZ, this is not so expensive as there are only 10 power balls.
The UK Labour party are leading the Conservative government by 27 points in the latest polls. Lesson there for the Tories: stop trying to kill the people.
Note the presenter in the video below avoids mentioning Reform UK, now in third place nationally. But, can they actually win any seats, or will they just be a spoiler? We are about to find out in just a matter of weeks.
Interesting this, Melinda Gates in her latest one billion dollar giveaway has named 12 individuals who will receive part of those funds, one of them being Jacinda Ardern. Each receives 20 million dollars.
"French Gates said she has also offered 12 individuals “whose work I admire their own $20 million grant-making fund” and will allow them to decide how to use the funds.
Recipients include former New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern, US Olympian Allyson Felix and filmmaker Ava DuVernay."
We were told lockdowns worked and Covid vaccines saved the day. Err...no, the vaccines didn't work, and people died:
We now have the evidence - official, national data - that clearly shows that the under 80s “vaccinated” died at higher rates than expected.
<snip>
For the under 50s, the rate of mortality in the vaccinated exceeds expectation of a safe but ineffective intervention from inception. So, either they were jabbing the moribund all year or the jab was causing untimely demise in the younger cohorts.
Deaths Kick In After Jab Rollout |
I've been avoiding talking about this but I have to repeat the question: where is Catherine, the Princess of Wales? She hasn't been seen all year. Rumours are flying around and really, we need some clarity. It is all very peculiar.
Was it blind panic that led Rishi Sunak to announce an election date six weeks away, right in the middle of summer?
Here are a few possibilities:
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first game of the NBA's Western Conference semifinals. It was a very tight game, but the referees made a crucial call late in the fourth quarter when they ruled Karl-Anthony Towns of the Timberwolves had committed an offensive goaltending violation off a Mike Conley shot attempt. Towns made a spectacular dunk off the missed shot, but the referees disallowed it, and the video referral upheld the original call - no basket.
This seems to be a very harsh decision that affected the outcome of the game. After Conley's shot hits the rim, the ball bounces up above the basket, but to my eye the ball is falling outside of the imaginary cylinder above the ring. In situations like this, calls are almost never made, it was an incredible play and the shot was not going in - period. What do you think?
Finally, the end is nigh for this weak, woke, puppet of the WEF:
Rishi Sunak has called a surprise general election for 4 July in a high stakes gamble that will see Keir Starmer try to win power for Labour after 14 years of Conservative-led government.
Addressing the nation outside Downing Street, Sunak said it was “the moment for Britain to choose its future” as he claimed the Tories could be trusted to lead the country during a time of global instability.
Every so often I give a shout out to a female owned and run business. Drum roll....and I present to you Body Ambition.com. BA Fitness is located in the Boston, Massachusetts area, 206 S. Main Street, Middleton to be precise.
BA Fitness is the brainchild of Janelle Monteiro, the winner of Miss Bikini USA in 2007. She then went on to become a WBFF Pro. Ms Monteiro has a staff of six trainers, an all-women team that can help you lose weight and get in shape.
I've been aware of this gym for a while, and I've noticed they haven't just disappeared like so many do. They've stuck around and grown.
The other thing I've noticed is they don't just work on the physical aspects of getting in shape. Ms Monteiro also helps with the mental aspects of achieving stage presence and poise. This is what I think differentiates her business from the others. Her advice, and the advice of her team, impart skills that can be used in every facet of life.
Anyway, if you're in the area, or available to be taught online, give them a call and tell them who sent you (me).

Here's more about Linda Gisonda and her ready-mix concrete business:

My WBE status has faced challenges for years. Detectives and law enforcement officials frequently monitored me for evidence to counter my valid claim.” Customers are assured of WBE procurement compliance, she adds, thanks to Tec-Crete’s dogged adherence to Port Authority and Empire State Development audit requirements and recertification cycles.
I blogged about Ms Gisonda's business back in 2020: https://kenhorlor.blogspot.com/2020/01/women-in-concrete.html
It's good to see her business continuing to thrive.
The quiet part is now being said out loud. Tell me again, who is currently running the US and if Trump wins in 2024, will he ever be sworn in?
Dominic Cummings puts the reality of where the West is at right now, facing a stronger Russia as a result of the war, and in a closer relationship with China. I've said this all along, and here we are:
In the developed world, the birth rate is falling drastically, so how is the population growing? And is there even a 'population explosion'?
Many who promoted the jab were guilty of conceit, complacency and hubris. They've got blood on their hands.

Al Jazeera's well-spoken New Zealander, Liz Puranam talks to Marwan Bishara about the situation in the Middle East and Washington DC:
AstraZeneca has withdrawn its Covid-19 jab worldwide:
AstraZeneca has begun the worldwide withdrawal of its Covid-19 vaccine due to a “surplus of available updated vaccines” that target new variants of the virus.
So, it'd have nothing to do with this then?
More than a dozen countries, mostly in Europe, have suspended the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine over fears the shot may have caused some recipients to develop blood clots.
Oh please, don't insult our intelligence.
Natalie Elphicke, the MP for Dover has crossed the floor of the House of Commons in the UK, to join the Labour party. This must come as a shock to Conservative members as she has been a vocal and effective critic of Sir Keir Starmer, the Labour leader. Did she do a backroom deal with Labour, a seat in the House of Lords perhaps?
Just put an end to the pain now, Rishi Sunak, call a General Election and get it over with.
In the weeks leading up to Prince Harry's attendance at the upcoming Invictus Games ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral in London, speculation has been rife about whether there will be rapprochement between the wayward son and his father, King Charles III and his brother, the Prince of Wales.
I always thought this highly unlikely, and the recent statement from Prince Harry's UK representative was rather telling:
Their spokesperson said in a rare statement, “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program. The duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
The media have been doing a lot of wishful thinking. Let's get real here, Prince Harry has been a fool. Read those last six words again Harry, I know you're reading this, you're all over social media.
In some quarters, commentators are saying the King should forgive Harry, that the King should show leadership. No, leadership isn't only about warm embraces. Those who step outside the boundary lines can expect to be dismissed. It pays to be firm and decisive.
Looked at in broader context, consider the way Harry was raised. In his world he was surrounded by sycophants. He was never told a firm no, and every statement he made was likely met with praise regarding the perspicacity and verisimilitude of his utterances, no matter how banal.
Therefore, it is likely Harry has no idea he's considered a laughing stock, or that his ideas are rubbish. Want examples of this? He is reported to have thought he could interview the likes of the Pope and Vladimir Putin about their childhood trauma. No, I'm not joking, he really thought he could pull it off. Another example: he thought it a good idea, telling of his brother's circumcised penis in that book of his. Reflect on this for a minute, Harry talked about the private parts of a man who will be King.
When they start taking flak, it means they're over the target. George Galloway's Workers Party of Britain may prevent the UK Labour party from achieving an outright majority in the coming elections. Labour appear out of touch with many working class voters, instead pushing a liberal agenda subscribed to by those living in the south, particularly in and around London.
What I'd like to know is was Liz Truss threatened? One day she was full of fight, then overnight she buckled and resigned.
When they talk about forces, let's not mince words, they're talking about the WEF. Britain is not a democracy. This has been the case for a long time, but now we can see it clearly.
Why does New Zealand have to put up with the Greens? They are a disgrace. There has to be a way of getting them out of parliament completely, and then driving them out of existence after that. There is a place for an environmentally focussed party, but this bunch don't measure up.
How about the Outdoors Freedom party as an alternative?
and
Russell Brand has noticed a trend in this year's US election cycle. The powers-that-be are going to push family, the social connections that bind us, and the idea that only the powers-that-be can protect us, keep us safe.
It reminds me of those bank advertisements on television that portray a life of yesteryear that never was. A world tinted and slightly out of focus, a world full of warm hugs and joyous laughter.
Hang on...don't forget they tried to kill us, put us under house arrest, saddled us with a mountain of debt, caused galloping inflation and now seem intent on declaring WWIII.
That's right, New Zealand handled things very poorly.
NZ now ranks as one of the slowest growing economies in the world, unemployment is rising and inflation has been galloping away for years now, over half of which is home-grown - not from external factors. The country is bogged down in a debt spiral due to on-going structural deficits which have led the new Coalition to cut back on spending, threatening the development of infrastructure, as well as the strength of our health and education systems.
<snip>
...now we have more deaths per million than the average of those 26 Oceania countries.
<snip>
It's not at all clear where the truth lies - in the fullness of time, it may well turn out that our Covid response was an unmitigated disaster for the country, in terms on both health and economic outcomes. What concerns me the most is that somehow out of that response NZ lost its mojo to the extent that a galaxy of the most talented young Kiwis now want to flee abroad.

And for all things interesting or informative about New Zealand:
Let's consider the question; what sports can currently be played between men and women on equal terms? I'm not talking about mixed teams, with the balance between men and women predetermined, I'm talking about any number of men and women being able to compete against each other.
A saying comes to mind which answers this question, at least in part:
― Ernest Hemingway
Yes, these three sports all have women and men competing on equal terms.
When it comes to motor racing, that includes every type; motor boats, aircraft racing, motorcycles, and all manner of cars and trucks.
Outside of this framework, anything to do with horses comes to mind. Equestrian eventing, dressage and showjumping are on equal terms. I remember the controversy surrounding female jockeys, but that seems to be fine now too, horse racing doesn't have women only jockey races, do they?
And then there is croquet. And don't forget snooker.
When you think about it, there are a few more sports with men and women competing against each other than we are led to believe.
