Dr Wolfgang Wodarg on the Coronavirus Narrative

Worth watching this, spoken in German but with a very good English translator (the subtitles are not so good):

John Smith Collection: Rare Warbirds

John Smith must have been some kind of genius. Carefully and quietly he built up a collection of rare aircraft few knew anything about. When he died these planes would have been worth a lot, and are even more valuable as historical artefacts. Among his collection were P-40 Kittyhawks, a Mosquito, and P51 Mustang. Have a look at the embedded video:

COVID-19: Interesting Views on Vaccines

I'm not qualified to comment, but I thought the following interesting. The people in this video don't appear to be any type of fringe element, they include Robert F Kennedy Jr.

National Party of New Zealand: China's Lackey

Australia is having a war of words and a trade war with China right now and things are getting more heated as the weeks go by. The Australians will be holding an inquiry into the China virus, its origins and China's handling of the pandemic at the beginning. All very good, long overdue, Australia appears to be the only country taking the matter to its logical conclusion; that China actively undermined the western world.

This will hugely impact New Zealand's National Party. That's because they've been busted cosying up to China and even had a member of parliament in their ranks who had taught China's spies. This man was a former member of the CCP, and worked for the PLA's university of foreign languages.

National are Quislings, they're a dead party walking. I can't see how anyone could vote for them. National recruited former CCP members into their ranks, and took political donations from Chinese interests. It can't get much worse than that.

Australia is NZ's closest ally, a form of big brother. New Zealand is badly compromised by having the National party exist at all. How could NZ be trusted by Australia? The answer: it couldn't be, not until the National party is purged from NZ's political landscape.

OUR New Zealand Party

Names matter a lot. What should be the name of the new Conservative New Zealand political party?

But first we can cancel out existing names. Gone are New Conservatives, National, Labour, Greens, ACT, and Maori.

Trip down memory lane and a few candidates:

New Zealand Party - Started by Bob Jones it contested the 1984 general election and did pretty well but didn't win any seats. In terms of share of the vote it gained 12.25%, which would make it kingmaker today. The name isn't currently registered, the party having fallen apart in the early 1990's.

How about then: OUR New Zealand Party.

Whatever the name it must be unifying, not divisive. So, out goes One Nation, Libertarian, etc. TOP is not a bad name the more you think about it (as a party can't say what they're like, its policies are too 'pure' in terms of economics to put it in a winnable position).

MMP is a funny beast and I think where all new parties have failed is they go straight for the 5%. A more practical approach is to attract popular local people to stand in seats and try to get in that way, by winning electorates. Think this can't be done? The Maori party have proved this works. Their electorate level campaigning is pretty good for a small party.

Membership: this new entity only works if it can attract 2,000 members. That provides a number in each electorate across the country. Think about covering people away on holiday, sick, etc., you still need to find people to agitate locally. I know 500 is the threshold but that just isn't enough. These members have to be paid up and active.

Policies: central policy planks would be

* written Constitution for NZ with embedded free speech and transparency of government (right to privacy);
* private property protected and pursuit of profit encouraged;
* Defence (what's the point in owning stuff or having free speech if anyone can take it off you);
* Rule of law and equality before the law;
* Right to education and healthcare;
* Build infrastructure (without a strong built environment there is no point in the abovementioned rights);
* Believe that the individual knows what's best for themselves;
* Family, neighbourhood, suburb, village, town, city, country in that order;
* Freedom of religion.

Input welcome.

The Woke Supremacy

New Zealand blogger, Chris Trotter nails it with his piece on what is going on right now and how things will pan out. He's left-wing and finds it hard to put a name to the ideology the ruling class has embraced. I can solve this for you Mr Trotter; it is called Fascism.

New Zealand Election 2020

Still have faith in the security of the New Zealand General Election 2020? How would you feel knowing the Electoral Commission was connected to the internet during the election and the only malware protection they were using was Windows Defender Antivirus - the free software that comes with every Windows software sold. Unbelievable. Someone needs to be sacked.

Wake Up: We are at War

Consider the circumstances New Zealand finds itself in one year on from February 2020:

Tourism smashed, was once NZ's biggest income earner, bringing in 20% of export income
Queenstown a ghost town Hospitality industry in crisis; that's restaurants, bars, night clubs, hotels and motels. Many of these are small businesses, investors have lost everything.
Supply chain problems getting worse. Thought you were unaffected? Yeah, nah.
Homelessness increased
Child poverty increased
Poor children worse off in terms of education and career prospects
Stress levels off the charts
Suicide on the rise
No effective political opposition
No independent, searching, questioning, investigative media
Random house arrest for having done no wrong (called lockdowns or isolation mandates)
Cheques gone, yes that's a rather big issue but I won't spend time on it here
Property price bubble as Kiwis rush to find safe haven for what they have left
A stupid tracer app that tracks your every move, don't tell me this data will not be used against you. If you do say it I'll laugh in your face like this - hahahahahaha.
Massive pressure being applied to inject a vaccine that has taken less than a year to develop and never been tried before
Becoming guinea pigs in the world's biggest ever scientific and social experiment

Seriously folks, the political classes, Labour and National are at war with their own people. The UN and WHO are at war with the western world, and China leads them.

South Island Independence

With New Zealand's Labour party about to bankrupt the country, about time for the South island to think about independence.

New political party: SCRAM Stands for South Island, Chathams, Rakiura Autonomy Movement.

Policies:

No lockdowns Zero income tax for individuals and companies
Cheap cigarettes
Excise tax on EV's
Literacy and numeracy compulsory
Winning rugby world cup compulsory
Free speech protected
Industry encouraged with free trade zones providing cheap land/zero rates.

How would this work? Any number of ways, but it could exist within New Zealand as a whole. The SCRAM entity could have its own laws apart from Defence, Foreign Affairs and existing Trade agreements. But not like a federal structure, more like a confederacy, that way overarching federal legislation wouldn't apply. As an example, SCRAM could introduce the death penalty for the worst crimes (such as murder with aggravating factors like torture and rape/sexual assault) and not be controlled by Wellington.

In the future, SCRAM could merge with Western Australia which has voted for independence in the past but never had the numbers in Canberra to push it through. This new entity would create a new empire of the Southern and Indian oceans. Yay. Crucially, it would be resource rich, boundless wealth is tied up in the South and in WA. Effete classes in the urban conurbations are skewing the landscape to enrich themselves at the expense of those who sit on top of that wealth.

Precedents?

There are a few out there, we could come up with a peculiarly Kiwi solution so Southerners still call themselves New Zealanders. Here are a few models to study and borrow ideas from:

Wales
Scotland
Northern Ireland
Monaco
San Marino
Andorra
Lichtenstein
Luxembourg
Malta
Vatican City
Isle of Man
Jersey
Guernsey

Or look at secessionist movements:

Catalonia
Venice (separate from Italy proper and once its own empire)
California (broke away from Mexico)
Texas (Broke away from Mexico, then joined the US after a referendum)

How would secession be achieved? To begin with, members of the party must be elected to parliament. If using the Northern Ireland example with Sinn Fein, they'd not take their seats. However, I suggest this party does take its seats and agitates for a referendum on secession, only to be held in the South Island amongst those on the electoral roll there. If the party gets itself into a kingmaker position, it could make this referendum a condition of forming a government. Auckland politicians are a greedy lot and would do this despite knowing NZ would be broken up. What do you think?

Global Supply Chain Stressed

This is what happens when you interfere with the supply chain - chaos. Back when the lockdowns started I predicted shortages and ultimately this will result in hunger, potentially riots (a few already, Chile being an example), and in some parts of the world, famine.

What I'm talking about are actions that stop the conveyor. I have quite a bit of experience with logistics, raw material processing being my top skill. I can tell you this very easily: when the conveyor stops, you lose a lot.

The global supply chain is one very large conveyor. It is slowly breaking down. The port of Los Angeles/Long Beach is one of the largest ports in the world. It is a vast contiguous port mass where they handle 20+ ships at any one time, and where they stack road trailers on top of one another over acres of staging areas, ready for attaching to the truck prime movers that haul loads out of the port to anywhere in the western United States. From there cargo also moves under bond into Mexico, through inland entry points as far away as El Paso in Texas.

What's going on? The USA is experiencing shortages on shelves right now and things are not getting any better. With a lack of ships and COVID restrictions, ships are waiting to enter port for as long as it takes to transit the Pacific. Bear in mind this is trade of the largest economy in the world being affected.

Little New Zealand is going to be hit really hard, you've only seen the start of this. NZ may find itself unable to export. Yes, unable to export. What you need to do is scream (yes, scream) to your local member of parliament about this. They're too stupid to realise the extent of the problem. The-global-supply-chain-is-breaking-down.

Security of Energy Supplies

 I notice the large oil refinery at Altona in Australia is due to close.

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/feb/10/coalition-urged-to-confront-australias-severe-fuel-insecurity-as-altona-oil-refinery-closes

New Zealand's one oil refinery at Whangarei in Northland is also to become a fuel terminal only. But for Australia, given it is a large developed economy, not being able to refine its own crude leaves it vulnerable in times of war. Key infrastructure must be protected. There really is no alternative for this; having to import all fuel supplies already refined means the country can be defeated by simply shutting off that supply. Wake up Australia and New Zealand.

The Absent President: Joe Biden

 There is a meme going round, have you seen Joe Biden?

Well, on the television I've seen him climbing the steps to Air Force 1 and walking across the White House lawn to Marine 1. Those are what you may call public sightings. But the rest have all been all indoors, whether it's at the State Department, or one on one with a reporter. Why no press conference on the front lawn of the White House? Ever seen him waving from a limo as it passes by?

We find ourselves in a very strange place here. Biden is meant to be more open, the bringer of peace and tranquillity, a new future. Seems instead he's the most exclusive, more like a king than a US president.

Cryptocurrency Idea

I see that Dogecoin is trending, and apart from the obvious reason of Elon Musk promoting it, and that it is considered 'cool' for some reason, it could be useful due to liquidity. The number of coins in circulation isn't capped, so many are issued each year which keeps the price in check.

How about this idea for a cryptocurrency. Make it capped at a quadrillion coins. That's a thousand trillion. But make these coins hard to mine, not like gold or silver, or even platinum or palladium. How about equating this new coin to pink diamonds or natural sea pearls. The scarcity lies in the quest rather than coins being relatively easy to find but ultimately running out of puff. Along with this quest, once a coin is found then it becomes easier for a miner to find more near it. That's similar to real mining where you may find a rich vein. Just an idea.

New Zealand's Oil and Gas Exploration Ban - Silly

This post is to explain and bring to New Zealand's attention just how utterly fruit loop and dingbattery Jacinda Ardern's ban on oil and gas exploration is, and how the climate change commission must be the stupidest group of people ever assembled. Not unintelligent people, but very stupid people.

Below you'll find a YouTube video. At first you'll think this has nothing to do with New Zild and on the surface you'd be right. But it is there to illustrate how the world doesn't stand still, it is developing all the time and NZ is being left behind. This video shows the progress in construction of Uganda's second international airport. It's being built in the western part of the country, near Lake Albert by a UK and Israeli joint venture. Oh really? Isn't that interesting.

But first, some facts, Ken likes facts: Uganda has a population of 44 million and is about the size of NZ. It has varied geographic shape, from mountains in the west to lower areas in the east (its highest peak is much higher than Mt Cook, complete with glaciers). Drier areas to the north, warm wet climate to the south. You'll have heard of Lake Victoria, which drains across the country to Lake Albert and then out north to the white Nile. Lots of water, rainfall about 1,000-1,500mm a year in two wet periods, so it rains for 6 months of the year, and has rich soils, humidity 77% and average temperature throughout the year of 20 degrees Celsius. Ideal growing conditions.

Yes, Hydro is being installed, nice and renewable with the fall from the mountains being exploited so the flow of rivers is used by being diverted in the upper reaches through steel pipes to the turbines, downstream the rivers just flow as normal. Really, cool, the UN is paying for it. No kidding, UN power programmes, nice eh, that UN, they're so climate friendly in supplying all that electricity.

Now, consider this; the Americans are now developing oil and gas fields in western Uganda, near Lake Albert. The oilfields contain billions of barrels. Billions, not millions. That's why the airport, they need a large airport to bring in all the oil field equipment and spare parts, but on the export side, the country is better served to export time critical fresh fruit and vegetables to the UK. It already does the latter via Entebbe, but now that capacity will be doubled.

With that oil and gas, they're building a refinery too, both supplying the local car market which is mostly Japanese secondhand imports, but VW has started building cars in neighbouring Rwanda. Then being built is an oil pipeline to east Africa, specifically to the Port of Tanga in Tanzania.

Of course all this construction needs cement, so Chinese companies have built a cement plant producing 3 million tonnes a year, three times NZ's annual consumption for those who want to know, and that's just the one plant. Next door to the cement plant they've built an industrial park making everything you can imagine that this kind of industrial development needs, right down to flooring tiles.

So, Uganda a country the size of NZ just blew away NZ's efforts to minimise carbon emissions. That's the message. And good for them. I hope they get a decent cricket team and thrash us one day (no, seriously, I really do). Personally, I'm amazed oil companies even bother with NZ. Why wouldn't these companies go where they'll be welcomed? So when you're told you can't have any LPG bottles, even when you've got a natural disaster and the power is off for months and you're starving, thank Saint Jacinda for saving you from climate calamity. Anyway, the video as mentioned, patience with their version of English folks, thank you.

Big Silver Squeeze

Following on from the GameStop buys intended to hurt short-sellers of that stock and a few others such as Blackberry and AMC, activists are now buying silver in the physical form or buying silver futures predicting a rise in the price of silver. This is intended to hurt those making bets that silver will fall in price. The big factor here is that there is no limit to the price of a physical commodity like silver. As hard metals markets open on Monday, watch this take off. Central banks are going to come under pressure. This is what happens when a group of relatively affluent investors get really pissed off.

Update: the Wall Street Bets reddit claim that this silver squeeze is masterminded by the hedge funds to try and divert investor attention to something they want to happen, a rise in the price of silver. They urge investors to stay put and hold GameStop stock and to continue buying.
