New Zealand Covid Response

Public submissions are being made this week to the real government-led Covid inquiry. The previous inquiry has long since concluded, and it was a Labour government cover up and, thus, widely ignored.

Coincidentally, the following are matters readers may find interesting. The myth of Covid is still very much alive, and the harms the jab caused are conveniently parked under other headings, such as 'long covid'.

Conclusion: Numbers are still being pulled out of thin air, governments are still making things up, and the Southland doctor who prescribed and supplied Ivermectin is a hero.

A new Otago-led study published in the International Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health found that over 20 percent of children and young people in New Zealand are experiencing persistent health problems following COVID. 

These include fatigue, headaches, anxiety, and school absences severe enough to impact daily life. “These symptoms weren’t just happening; they were actually limiting their ability to participate in life,” said lead author Associate Professor Julie Bennett.

Despite this, Long Covid is not on the agenda at this week’s hearings, which instead focus on lockdown decisions and vaccine mandates.

A Southland GP who prescribed Ivermectin during the COVID pandemic has been formally censured by the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.

Anyone else notice that two athletes who refused to get the jab, are doing rather well in their respective sporting codes? Rodgers playing for the New York Jets in the NFL, and Djokovic in tennis. Important: New Study from Norway

Dr John Campbell looks at a new study out of Norway which examines the possible link between the rollout of the jab in 2021 and a rise in deaths in 2022.

Abstract of the study: 

We primarily study a possible link between 2021 COVID-19 vaccination uptake in Europe and monthly 2022 excess all-cause mortality, i.e., mortality higher than before the pandemic. Analyses of 31 countries weighted by population size show that all-cause mortality during the first nine months of 2022 increased more the higher the 2021 vaccination uptake; a one percentage point increase in 2021 vaccination uptake was associated with a monthly mortality increase in 2022 by 0.105 percent (95% CI, 0.075-0.134). When controlling for alternative explanations, the association remained robust, and we discuss the result emphasizing causality as well as potential ecological fallacy. Also, the study shows that 2021 all-cause mortality was lower the higher the vaccination uptake, but this association became non-significant when controlling for alternative explanations.

Oh dear, New Zealand, what have you done? Reading this I almost cried. New Zealand's education system has been destroyed. Ministry of Education, principals, boards of trustees, hang your heads in shame.

Some days it is just painful.

It’s tough to get out of bed, to pretend to my kids that everything is OK, and that our country is a safe and fair place to live. I cannot count the times when I have completely melted down in the last ten months, while driving alone so that they can’t see the heartbreak I feel – the broken heart that I don’t want them to see.

Instead, we had principals, colleagues and our unions pressuring us to make us follow – or else suffer the consequences. In staffrooms around the country, a line had been drawn. If you did not roll up your sleeve, you were branded an anti-vaxxer, a threat to the students and staff, and someone who shouldn’t be an educator.

The mandate also pulled students into this division when teachers (people in positions of power) spewed their rhetoric about the unvaxxed and how dangerous they were. My heart shattered when I had a student approach me and laugh, cruelly, while saying that I would die from Covid. It seemed like all compassion and kindness had been wiped out, and at that moment it became clear we were in a two-tiered society.

In effect, it was now unlawful for us to step foot on the property. We could be arrested and fined. Upstanding citizens who had never done anything illegal, who had cared deeply for our young students, who had dedicated years of service to teaching and helping Kiwi children to be set up for good and solid life paths, were suddenly treated like criminals. Unable to even have contact with the students into whose education we had put our hearts and souls, and years of dedication.

Fast-forward to now. For those lucky enough to have their jobs back, or those who have been given a lesser role, such as babysitting/relief (at a much lower pay rate), they now find in the staff rooms that people who took the jab barely acknowledge what happened. They certainly don’t acknowledge the pain they have caused to their innocent fellow Kiwis. They don’t acknowledge that those of us who were thrown out like garbage, actually needed someone from our former school to call up and ask if we were OK. We needed them to stand up for our shared humanity, and our shared and sacred Human Rights.

Message to the Unvaccinated

Even if I were pollinated and fully vaccinated, I would admire the unvaccinated for withstanding the greatest pressure I have ever seen, even from partners, parents, children, friends, colleagues and doctors. 

People who were capable of such personality, courage and critical ability are undoubtedly the best of humanity. They are everywhere, in all ages, levels of education, states and ideas. They are of a special kind; they are the soldiers that every army of light wants to have in its ranks. They are the parents that every child wants to have and the children that every parent dreams of having. They are beings above the average of their societies, they are the essence of the people who have built all cultures and conquered horizons. They are there, next to you, they look normal, but they are superheroes. 

They did what others could not, they were the tree that withstood the hurricane of insults, discrimination and social exclusion. And they did it because they thought they were alone, and believed they were the only ones. 

Banned from their families' tables at Christmas, they never saw anything so cruel. They lost their jobs, let their careers sink, had no more money ... but they didn't care. They suffered immeasurable discrimination, denunciation, betrayal and humiliation ... but they kept going. 

Never before in humanity has there been such a "casting", now we know who are the best on planet Earth. Women, men, old, young, rich, poor, of all races or religions, the unvaccinated, the chosen of the invisible ark, the only ones who managed to resist when everything collapsed. 

That's you, you passed an unimaginable test that many of the toughest Marines, Commandos, Green Berets, astronauts and geniuses could not withstand. You are made of the stuff of the greatest who ever lived, those heroes born among ordinary men who glow in the dark.

Romanians Avoided the Nonsense

I've just been schooled on how Romania avoided the vax and lockdown calamity. 

In the cities people were affected during lockdowns. But out in the countryside, the locals just carried on as before. Hearing of this, people in the cities evacuated and headed to the countryside as well, sometimes buying a place (cottages are cheap), or taking a caravan or heading to stay with family. Consequently, people stayed away from the nonsense going on in town. 

All this sounded very reasonable to me, sensible Romanians. 

How did New Zealand fail in this regard? The whole country just surrendered to Jacinda's authoritarian rule.

They, being the government, want to do away with cash and make all transactions digital. Every aspect of your life will be surveilled, and if your score is too low, you won't be able to travel, buy food or even leave your house. Banking will be closed to you. You will no longer exist.

The Covid panic is being used to roll this out. Medical privacy has evaporated in this milieu, now potentially everything about you will be knowable or known. If you think that's fine, I suggest you move to live in China. Personally, I think that is horrific and undermines western civilisation. These plans elites are developing are an extinction level event.

Wellington: the Police have cordoned off several streets around Parliament and this is now essentially an area for a free festival of freedom with thousands of people attending. 

This is a huge humiliation for Trevor Mallard and Jabcinda Ardern. I don't see how Ardern can remain in office. Clearly the Police are not listening to her, and the Army don't return calls either. 

Time to pack up and leave Jabcinda. On yer bike.

Today marks one week since tens of thousands of New Zealanders from all walks of life, ages and ethnicities came together in a peaceful protest.

They travelled from all over the country and have been supported in many ways by hundreds of thousands of Kiwis.

They are united in condemning the government’s flagrant breach of human rights, deliberate divisiveness, and discrimination. The constant law changes are inconsistent with the government’s duties to the New Zealanders it was elected to represent.

The protest is a result of immense frustration and concern. People are outraged by the conduct of the government and its lack of respect, dismissive attitude and unwillingness to engage.

The position of protestors and the government have become entrenched, but this protest can end.

This communication summarises the views of the majority of groups present at Parliament today:

• Freedom Alliance
• New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out with Science
• Outdoors & Freedom Movement
• The Freedom and Rights Coalition
• Voices for Freedom.

We have come together and we are in agreement that the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act and all the orders and mandates made under that legislation must be revoked immediately.

The government needs to lift the unnecessary mandates, and an urgent meeting has been requested with senior cabinet ministers to open dialogue.

The infection fatality rate of Omicron is lower than the seasonal flu. Before the global pandemic, it was considered ‘normal’ for 500-700 New Zealanders to die from the seasonal flu each year. On average, 100 Kiwis die each day from various causes. There needs to be perspective.

The Traffic Light system, the ‘no jab, no job’ laws and other mandates are discriminatory, unjustified and a breach of fundamental human rights.

Not one Government representative has engaged in dialogue with the peaceful protesters. Their response of soaking the ground with high-pressure irrigation, bright lights, blasting music and ads at the gathering is infantile and highly unhelpful to bringing about a resolution. We are concerned that unless these tactics cease, they could cause significant damage to any trust held by the protesters that their elected representatives are interested in listening to them.

In addition, the behaviour of the Police last Thursday was unconscionable. New Zealanders, our friends, and the media worldwide watched in horror the deplorable and unlawful police conduct towards peaceful protestors, including women and children.

We reiterate that our request is that the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act and all the orders and mandates made under that legislation be revoked immediately in accordance with the principles of justice, democracy, respect for human rights, equality, non-discrimination, good governance and good faith.

Until the end of the mandates, participants are determined to maintain their presence.

The media is grossly misrepresenting the situation. The protestors are friendly, peaceful, hardworking New Zealanders who are pro-medical freedom. Government and media must stop their deliberate and sustained misinformation campaign.
