Musk and the Tech Oligarchs

At one point, Elon Musk openly supported Democrats. Now he supports Republicans. Is that because he goes wherever the wind is blowing, or is it due to more nefarious reasoning, avoiding investigation and possible prosecution?

And the rest appear equally self-serving. They'll do anything to survive.

Two Elections in November

The midterm elections in the US will be held on Tuesday, 3rd of November, while the New Zealand general election will be held a few days later on Saturday, 7th of November. The last time these two countries had elections coinciding so closely together was in 2020. Right now, 2026 could be even more important than six years ago.

In NZ the two largest parties are struggling to gain support. Just weeks away from the date and both Labour and National are polling below 30%. They'll both need coalition partners to govern.

Meanwhile, in the US the Republican party seems to have found a way to turn their election success in 2024, into almost certain defeat across the board in 2026. But then, the Democrats appear to be trusted only a little more. Both appear to be equally distrusted.

Are we witnessing an across the board change of established political power? The old-fashioned machine politicians seem to have had their day. People want to be represented by people they identify with and the current offerings just don't do it.

Epstein Files Release

As expected the files just released are heavily redacted. This issue won't go away as it crosses political dividing lines, the cabal have a real problem over this.

The REAL Reason Trump Won?

Days before the vote, Democrats and Republicans poured resources into the Muslim areas of the swing states. At the end of the day, Muslims voted Trump; they didn't trust Harris. I mentioned in an earlier blog post, that Harris had done nothing to end the conflict in Gaza but there she was on the campaign trail, saying that 'if' she's elected, she'll do all she can to stop it. Well, why would anyone think that, seeing as she's the sitting Vice President who had done diddly up to that point.

I haven't seen the numbers, but Trump did win Michigan with its large Muslim population. Maybe they know that Trump is less likely to allow war to get in the way of his golf game.

Now Musk

Yes, they'll come for Elon Musk. Donald Trump has announced he'll appoint Musk to head an efficiency commission so now the gloves will be off.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders

It has occurred to me that the Republican Party are looking around for a woman to stand for President. That is, when they rule out Donald J Trump for whatever reason.

Kamala Harris Taking Over?

Has anyone else noticed the MSM are pushing Kamala Harris more these days? This has me thinking that Joe Biden will soon be replaced by Harris, and they'll go into the Presidential Election with her.

My thinking: the Democratic party would love to have the first female President of the United States. Not only that, the move may stop the migration of college educated women to the Republicans and independent candidates such as RFK Jr.

With Joe Biden obviously senile, he's turning a lot of voters off, and this move could also stem the outgoing tide leading into the 2024 House of Representatives elections.

Replacing Joe Biden would be the right move. I've read how the Dems are caught like a deer in the headlights, not knowing which way to go. This move makes them look modern and listening to their voter base. If this is to happen, they need to make it so within the next month.

GOP Looking Like Los Angeles Lakers

With some key races in the US midterm elections yet to be declared, the GOP is looking a bit shabby. They're like the LA Lakers, packed with stars but cannot win a game. At this rate they could even end up without a majority in either the House of Representatives or the Senate. They talked a big game but when it really mattered, they're just a bunch of old men. The exception of course is Ron DeSantis who cleaned up.

Throw Donald Trump out of the party. He holds no elected office and has too much influence.

Trump Hinders GOP Cause

An interesting article on why the GOP didn't receive a red tsunami:

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/23448972/midterms-results-democrats-senate-red-wave

What these midterms made clear is that these divisions will likely persist so long as Trump remains a major force in politics. When Trump recedes to the background of the news — as he did in the fall of 2021, when Virginians voted — and Republicans modulate their presentation, they seem to be able to win over wavering Democrats.

But now he’s back. Trump is highly effective at motivating infrequent GOP voters and winning the intense loyalty of his base. Then again, Trump has also alienated an even larger group of voters, including many swing voters, and the GOP suffered for that on Tuesday as the red wave they dreamed of failed to materialize.

Should Donald Trump start his own Party?

Go for it and build on Trumpism by starting another party. Recruit members from the bottom to the top and stand in all elections across the United States. There would be widespread support and too many candidates to make rigging possible. Just think, the new Trump party could end up holding the balance of power in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Let's face it, the GOP stabbed Donald Trump in the back. The only way to drain the swamp is to take it over. New members of the party could have Democrats amongst them. There are a lot of upsides to the proposal. Imagine a party actually delivering on its campaign promises.

Twitter Purge

I am one of those purged from Twitter. My account has been suspended for violating Twitter rules. Now as you all know I never promote or condone violence or unlawful actions of any kind. I can only think what may have led to me being purged, along with so many others, is I do occasionally tweet or retweet issues that may be of interest to Republican party members. That's it. If you check my timeline both here and on Twitter, you'll find that I'm critical of Donald Trump about as many times as I'm agreeing with him.

So this Twitter purge leads me to conclude they're getting rid of all those accounts that are centre/right. Personally, this move doesn't affect me greatly as I never relied on Twitter. It was simply a place to hang out a bit. The character limit on Twitter seriously restricts the level of thought and that's why I blog, then write books, those two being the most important.

It's interesting to see Twitter and other Big Tech firms show their hand this early. The call must come from Ted Cruz and others to break them up. They've become too big and now they think they run the world.
