Word is that Meghan Markle has already filed for divorce from Prince Harry. I predicted their marriage would be over before the end of 2020, so if these reports are correct, I wasn't out by much given the COVID-19 situation. I have to say this - Harry is a such a twit isn't he?

GameStop and Wall Street Activism
Commentators discussing what is happening with the market activism surrounding companies such as GameStop are missing the point. These investors punishing Wall Street aren't young tech savvy individuals trying to bring down the system. No, they're older investors, likely Trump supporters using the money they would otherwise have spent at casinos in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, to get even. They're going after all those companies that backed Biden and put him in the White House.
There are lists going around of which companies to support and which ones to sell. You may be aware that Twitter has shown volatility, especially right after they purged any active centre/right viewpoints. Well, I checked out a previous list to see if GameStop is listed and found it was, check out this list of companies to hurt for backing Antifa and the BLM organisation:
269 Companies Supporting Antifa and BLM
GameStop is at number 90 on the list. This can't be a coincidence. What is happening is that groups of investors are targeting any company they see as supporting 'the other side.' They may be small investors individually, but put a few million of them together and now you suddenly have real grunt. With GameStop they're actually buying its stock, knowing they'll blow their money, to hurt the institutions shorting the stock but also bringing GameStop into focus, which will eventually result in its failure. For these activists, a win/win.
Who is to blame for all this? Wall Street and Big Tech is of course, and all those who used their companies to police how people think. They got involved in politics - big mistake. The cost of all this will be monumental. We are talking trillions at stake. How so? Well, all those tracking funds are automated to follow the market and this new kind of volatility will result in financial carnage as these systems try to adjust to this kind of random investor activism. 2021 just became very interesting indeed.

New Xi-land
Australians are now calling New Zealand, New Xiland after the NZ Minister of Trade, Damien O'Connor appeared to take the side of China in its war of words with Australia. Be careful New Zealand, Australia is central to NZ's prosperity. That's because Australia is more than just someone to trade with. Australian companies operate in NZ freely and the big banks are all Australian owned. In addition, Kiwis have the automatic right to work and live in Australia. Could the NZ Labour party be this stupid? Yes, they can.

Lockdown Demonstrations
Sometimes I'm a bit out with my timing. I thought there would be widespread unrest about COVID-19 lockdowns back in 2020. But now we're beginning to see a trend worldwide. People are not prepared to accept being kept under house arrest for having done no wrong, and watching their livelihoods disappear. Protests are occurring all over the world, but notably in the Netherlands and in Lebanon. These lockdowns have been monumentally stupid and if governments don't reverse their approach we'll begin to see revolutions. And I'm talking French revolution scale here, and if you're rich and reading this, then you'll likely know how that went for the aristocracy.

Should Donald Trump start his own Party?
Go for it and build on Trumpism by starting another party. Recruit members from the bottom to the top and stand in all elections across the United States. There would be widespread support and too many candidates to make rigging possible. Just think, the new Trump party could end up holding the balance of power in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Let's face it, the GOP stabbed Donald Trump in the back. The only way to drain the swamp is to take it over. New members of the party could have Democrats amongst them. There are a lot of upsides to the proposal. Imagine a party actually delivering on its campaign promises.

Australia Crushed: India Triumphant
Good to see India take Australia down a peg or two. I'm talking cricket of course; India have scored a huge test victory over Australia in the fourth test at Brisbane. The ground is called The Gabba and Australia haven't lost there for 33 years. Not only that, no team has chased down more than 200 to win at the Gabba. Well take a bow India, you just broke that record by scoring 329 in the second innings.
Australia are often bad sports, they're the ugly face of cricket. In the drawn third test the Australia captain said to all-rounder Ravi Ashwin, 'can't wait to get you to the Gabba, Ash'. Hopefully, Paine will never live those words down.
Oh, and with India's win, New Zealand still remain the world number 1 test team. Thank you, India. 'Can't wait to get you to the Gabba Ash' 'Can't wait to get you to the Gabba Ash'

Biden v Trump
Has everyone gone mad? Apparently so, now we have Joe Biden the good guy, Donald Trump the bad guy. Pause to consider, in four years Trump started no wars, the US for the first time in a long while invaded nowhere. Meanwhile, Biden operates in seclusion and appears only able to speak in prepared statements. It's unclear who he actually meets, if anyone. He appears so disliked Washington DC has to be flooded with troops prior to his inauguration, which may also be held in seclusion. This is not a good start to 2021.

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans Slump
What's up with the Pelicans? They started the season in fine form, but now they're losing a lot. They seem to be in need of another outside shooter, that's what. All very well having Zion Wilkinson and Steven Adams on the inside, but they also need reliable perimeter shooters, at least one of which a recognised three point exponent. If we look at their roster, in their recent game against the Lakers, JJ Redick was three from ten attempts from beyond the arc. That's not good enough and really hurts the team. In their latest game, they beat the lowly rated Sacramento Kings off good outside shooting. Now do that against much better teams.

Big Tech Censorship
Ex-Democrat: Facebook took me down
Twitter Purge
I am one of those purged from Twitter. My account has been suspended for violating Twitter rules. Now as you all know I never promote or condone violence or unlawful actions of any kind. I can only think what may have led to me being purged, along with so many others, is I do occasionally tweet or retweet issues that may be of interest to Republican party members. That's it. If you check my timeline both here and on Twitter, you'll find that I'm critical of Donald Trump about as many times as I'm agreeing with him.
So this Twitter purge leads me to conclude they're getting rid of all those accounts that are centre/right. Personally, this move doesn't affect me greatly as I never relied on Twitter. It was simply a place to hang out a bit. The character limit on Twitter seriously restricts the level of thought and that's why I blog, then write books, those two being the most important.
It's interesting to see Twitter and other Big Tech firms show their hand this early. The call must come from Ted Cruz and others to break them up. They've become too big and now they think they run the world.

Release the Kraken
Here's an idea for a movie: in a dystopian future where China and Russia control the political and social narrative, the US is nothing but a shadow of its former self. It clings to its past glories but its leadership is myopic, greedy and incompetent. The President sleeps most of the day and when awake he's kept alive through an intravenous drip applied several times a day. He doesn't think for himself, he's scripted, the country is run by Big Tech firms which take their orders from the new masters of the Earth, the aforementioned China and Russia.
There exists in the American sub-culture a rumour, some believe it a myth. This belief is that if the Kraken is released it will free the world from tyranny. Many think this Kraken is a book of words, while others believe it a virus. Many fundamentalists believe it to be a legal case and hold to the idea that this case once resolved will result in freedom. They're deluded of course as the courts are completely controlled by the new masters.
But the Kraken is none of these things. It is a man. This man, a former Naval officer (or Marine - same diff') dishonourably discharged for defying the rulers, leads a small band of resistance fighters. In time their numbers grow and they piece by piece put the US back together again. The movie ends with the Kraken seizing the Capitol Building and restoring democracy in America. The US Flag is hoisted again, replacing the existing one which is a form of communist flag, except with a server in place of the hammer and sickle.
Ends.

Coronation Street - More Issues
Following on from my complaints about the television soap opera, Coronation Street is getting worse. Now they're killing everyone off, especially children as they seem to have found themselves with too many of them.
And one of the best characters, the criminal Gary Windass has suddenly lost all sense. He's already told someone about his killing of Rick the loan shark. This is now being touted in media as a murder when in fact it wasn't, Gary killed Rick to prevent Rick from murdering him. Gary at the time was in a fight for his life in the woods where Rick had already dug Gary's grave (phew, convoluted I know).
Now Gary is going to go down for the assault on Adam Barlow when it was his sister who did that. Gary was found with the assault weapon on him in the middle of the day after he retrieved it from his sister's bedroom. He was setting out to get rid of the weapon to protect his sister as it was the only thing that connected her to the crime. Hang on though, Gary Windass wouldn't be so stupid, he'd have left the item under her bed until he had a sure way of getting rid of it. It wasn't going anywhere quickly and his sister wasn't even a suspect at that time.
This is one of my main complaints about the soap, characters all of a sudden depart from type and do strange or silly things, and then they likely later confess to all and sundry. Not only that, a handy witness is invariably on hand or an off duty cop lurks around every corner.
Do the screenwriters think these stories through? They're getting as weak as NZ's Shortland Street.

US Capitol Protest
Watching the protests at the US Capitol, how did the protesters get inside the US Capitol building? I've seen footage showing police simply letting people through the barriers. Basically, they were allowed to enter. Not a riot. The whole thing was set up to cover for the certification of the illegitimate President elect, Joe Biden. I'm sure more will come to light.
Have a look at this Twitter thread for examples of what I'm talking about: https://twitter.com/thepedalninja/status/1347010953511100416
We're entering very dark days. Even the world's most powerful democracy has succumbed to foreign interference.

New Zealand Lockdown Planned?
Word coming in is that New Zealand will go into lockdown around January 15-18th. Get ready, stock up. If this is severe it will finish NZ off. Kiwis, get ready to become Australian.
