Just How Indoctrinated Are They?

I found this video interesting, and confirms what many of us older folk suspect; the young students at university right now are often seriously lacking. The lecturer makes valid points, but he really struggles to enlighten many of them, with some exceptions.

Springboks Crush All Blacks

The rugby team I dislike the most, South Africa's Springboks have smashed New Zealand's All Blacks, 43-10. It is the All Blacks worst ever defeat. What's worse is that NZ were playing at home.

This All Blacks team appear very fragile. The Springboks are definitely beatable, but the All Blacks just fall apart at times. It's as if they overthink things.

A huge apology is due the previous All Blacks coach, Ian Foster. He took the AB's to a World Cup final despite knowing he'd lost the job to the incumbent today. That coach, Scott Robertson had a stellar record as a Super Rugby coach, but he's fallen well short at the very top.

When losses like this occur, NZ starts bloodletting. This is going to be biblical.

Democrats Tone Deaf

Listen to the below video starting from 1:56. The Democratic Party seem to be completely tone deaf. If they're to become relevant they have to stop blaming the victim, it doesn't work. Oh and it also helps to have candidates who are not evil, just saying.

Suspect in Custody in Utah

Edit to add: They now have the suspect in custody, but not thanks to law enforcement? If I've got this right, the pictures made available to the public were seen by the father of the assassin and he convinced his son to give himself up. The father then drove his son to the police station and they walked in together.

I saw that statement from FBI director, Kash Patel, and in it he appeared to claim credit. Ah, no Dude, you really didn't do much at all. The father did the right thing, that's it.

Donald Trump Jr Remembers Charlie Kirk

Prince Harry's Fake Royal Tour

Once again...Prince Harry tries to be half-in, half-out, give it up sunshine.

Geoff Buys Cars

Geoff Thompson, from Worcestershireshire in England is a lot like me. He has regular chats and in this one he's just talking after the shooting of Charlie Kirk.

What is real? We no longer know. When it comes to Charlie Kirk and thinking about who, exactly, is responsible for those terrible events, I'd counsel caution and ask people not to jump to conclusions. The truth, I'm afraid, could well be very dark.

Trump's Message from the Oval Office

This is Donald Trump's message regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk Shot

This is very disturbing news coming out of Utah. Conservative influencer, Charlie Kirk, has been shot and is believed dead.

Hollywood Crashes

Since the thing in 2020, Hollywood box office takings have tanked; 2025 is a bad year, with flops such as F1: The Movie, but all years leading up have been bad.

Before the thing in 2020, the box office was not great, but it was survivable.

See the below graph, the data is taken from Box Office Mojo for reference:

There are many reasons for this collapse, principal amongst them are that they're just not making movies people want to watch. Movies these days are not entertaining, that's it, right there.

Oriini Kaipara Wins Against Machine Politician

New Zealand - Tamaki Makaurau byelection 2025 - The word was that Oriini Kaipara had the win within her grasp as you could barely find anyone who said they'd not be voting for her.

Oriini Kaipara is that rather pleasant, and straightforward TV presenter who used to pop up on the AM Show on TV3. I had previously seen her reading the news, or whatever, but her appearances on the AM Show in the mornings lifted her profile. She came across as genuine, warm and funny. Basically, just the sort of person not suited to parliament.

She stood in the byelection against List MP, Peeni Henare, who had previously held the seat before the Maori Party took it off him in 2023. The byelection had come about as the sitting Maori Party MP died suddenly. So, it was all-on and Labour put everything it had into winning the seat back. They had all the media behind them, it was full-on attack Ms Kaipara.

Even as the results were announced, and coverage followed the next day, all the media could talk about was Peeni Henare, and how he lost. The winner was glossed over.

This is the latest Radio NZ headline:

Labour's Peeni Henare concedes Tāmaki Makaurau by-election to Te Pāti Māori rival Oriini Kaipara

It started out as this:

Kaipara keeps Tamaki Makaurau for Te Pati Maori

The bias is obvious, now they lead with Peeni Henare, while it previously read the winner and omitted the loser altogether.

Basically, NZ media are an absolute disgrace.

And I say to Oriini Kaipara, go for it, but remember one thing, the knives will be out. I can hear the sharpening going on in the background as I write this.

Centralised Control of Shipping

I find myself agreeing with the US administration on this one: the International Maritime Organisation, the United Nations body in charge of regulating shipping, has come up with a convoluted scheme which will funnel money to China. They're saying their proposal will save the planet, but that's not the case. What it will do is send people to buy new ships, and guess what, China currently makes more than 50% of all cargo ships.

The idea is to create a global tax on shipping, whereby less efficient vessels will pay money to more efficient vessels. That's the crux of it, but worryingly, the money heads into a fund set up by the IMO, who then pay out to these ideal operators. What could go wrong with that idea? Oh, lots could go wrong, that's what. Think - corruption.

But here's the thing, if you want clean green ships, how about just allowing these newer vessels accelerated depreciation, and older vessels no discount, or no depreciation at all. This would incentivise shipowners to invest in newer, cleaner burning engines.

Yeah, but they'll never do something like that, because this is not about the climate. It is about control, and when you realise that, your mind can be clear and you will see the light.

Anyway, the US is not best pleased, and I should hope not. Stamp on the IMO's proposal with a steel boot.

President Trump has made it clear that the United States will not accept any international environmental agreement that unduly or unfairly burdens the United States or harms the interests of the American people. This October, members of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) are poised to consider the adoption of a so-called “Net-Zero Framework,” aimed at reducing global greenhouse gas emissions from the international shipping sector.

Whatever its stated goals, the proposed framework is effectively a global carbon tax on Americans levied by an unaccountable UN organization. These fuel standards would conveniently benefit China by requiring the use of expensive fuels unavailable at global scale. These standards would also preclude the use of proven technologies that fuel global shipping fleets, including lower emissions options where U.S. industry leads such as liquified natural gas (LNG) and biofuels. Under this framework, ships will have to pay fees for failing to meet unattainable fuel standards and emissions targets. These fees will drive up energy and transportation and leisure cruise costs. Even small vessels would incur millions of dollars in fees, directly driving up costs for American consumers.

Kim Kardashian Sits Final Exams

She got to the finish line. It took six years, some failures along the way, but Kim Kardashian got back up and has sat the California Bar Exam in July 2025. Her results will be announced in early November 2025.

It took guts to take this on, especially since she'd created the SKIMS brand and become highly successful with it. I hope she passes.

In 2021, Kardashian let the world know that she’d finally passed the baby bar exam after three prior failures. We know that she reportedly took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) in March, and thanks to TMZ, it’s now been confirmed that Kardashian took the California bar exam in July. But how could a celebrity take the exam without being recognized?

Department of War

Donald Trump has signed an executive order renaming the Department of Defense the Department of War. Oh dear, not a good look. Does this mean another world war then?

https://www.stripes.com/theaters/us/2025-09-05/trump-executive-order-department-of-war-18985310.html

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday afternoon to rename the Defense Department the Department of War. The president likely lacks the authority to formally change the name without legislation from Congress. In the meantime, Trump authorized the Pentagon to use secondary titles such as “secretary of war” and “Department of War” in official correspondence and public communications so the department can go by its original name.

Sustainable and Renewable Energy

New Zealand talks about wind and solar energy all the time. It's a complete nonsense, they're both useless. However, NZ does have two kinds of renewable energy that is abundant and forever - geothermal and tidal. So, why don't we ever hear much about either?

Oh wait, would that be because Big Green capital isn't invested in it, would that be it?

C'mon NZ, the country has abundant geothermal energy, and the strongest tides in the world. NZ's tides are that big, waterways such as Cook Strait are dangerous, famous for its shipwrecks. However, when it comes to using tidal energy, I'm not aware of anyone in the country designing something feasible to harness that power. As long as we have the moon, we have the tides, the tides are free and consistent.

It isn't rocket science.

https://www.pnnl.gov/explainer-articles/tidal-energy#:~:text=Tidal%20energy%20is%20a%20form,the%20sun%2C%20and%20the%20moon.

Tidal energy is a clean, renewable, sustainable resource that is underutilized and represents significant opportunity to meet growing global energy needs, both now and in the future. Water is hundreds of times denser than air, which makes tidal energy more powerful than wind. It is more efficient than wind or solar energy due to its relative density and produces no greenhouse gases or other waste, making it an attractive renewable energy source to pursue.

Revealing Themselves

They do reveal themselves in the end, don't they! Former New Zealand Prime Ministers, John Key and Helen Clark are in Beijing at the moment, partying with all the other bad-boy leaders. Now we know who these two were really working for.

Study the photograph, John Key is on the left, while Helen Clark is on the right, both I've marked with an arrow.

Yet Another Pointless Announcement

OK, I was scammed by this. When I heard that New Zealand Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, had announced a major data services centre by Amazon, I genuinely thought, finally, a job well done.

But it turned out to be nothing much. The building of this infrastructure by Amazon was announced back in 2021. They started construction on a site but stopped when ground conditions were found to be unfavourable. That site now sits empty. What Amazon apparently then did is they placed their services alongside others run by separate companies, and voila, Amazon was up and running. So, then up jumps Luxon and claims all of this was down to him and his government; a service that was started under a previous administration and is now not doing anything new at all.

New Zealand is the land of announcement without substance. In this case, it must be a poll is due or something.

Asmongold on Young Disgruntled Men

Asmongold is a YouTuber who goes live a lot and in the below video he explains why it is that having a large group of disgruntled, military age men in your country is a very big problem.
