New Zealand Freedom Revolution

Wellington: the Police have cordoned off several streets around Parliament and this is now essentially an area for a free festival of freedom with thousands of people attending. 

This is a huge humiliation for Trevor Mallard and Jabcinda Ardern. I don't see how Ardern can remain in office. Clearly the Police are not listening to her, and the Army don't return calls either. 

Time to pack up and leave Jabcinda. On yer bike.

Message to the Sworn Officers of the New Zealand Police

Message to the sworn officers of New Zealand Police: 

Can you feel the pinch as the vice tightens around your legs? Hear the crack of the whip not too far off? 

Well, most of the rest of New Zealand feels that too. But we're struggling to do something about it as we're locked at home and harassed constantly by an out of control government and complicit media. 

This is where you come in as you can do something about it. The first thing you can do is refuse to obey unlawful orders. That's it, just refuse unlawful orders. The house of cards will tumble very quickly if you do this. 

Stand aside at the borders of Auckland. Do this for your family, your whanau and the whole community. Tell people to take off their masks, that they look ridiculous and are likely harming themselves with them on. Take your own masks off. Tell the supermarkets, to stop thinking they're the health police and the next time they ring wanting the police to turn up about something spurious, that it will take a month to respond.

Once this is done, then start the arrests. 

That is all.

Auckland Terror Attack

The terrorist who stabbed several people at the Lynn Mall in Auckland today, turns out to have been known by the police. Not only that, they acted as a kind of personal detail tracking him everywhere. They'd been doing this for years. 

My main question; how come the police were right on hand, armed and ready to respond? Did they have prior warning, and if they did why did they not act sooner, as in before he stabbed anyone. 

Coronavirus and New Zealand

So far New Zealand has dodged the bullet. There have been a handful of COVID-19 cases but they seem to have been isolated early and there is no transmission of the virus within the wider community.

That said, calls are being made for NZ to do more, to shut down inbound flights, and for areas to be locked down with proven known cases. Reality check; NZ can't do that as it relies on air freight on passenger services to transport its pharmaceuticals, and without tourism the country would go bust fast. Districts can't be locked down either as NZ has no equivalent force to Italy's Carabinieri, its form of gendarmerie. NZ almost got there, once it had the Ministry of Transport road policing officers, a form of Polizia Di Stato, or civil lower level policing unit. The NZ police were placed over the top of that. But NZ cost-cut and merged the two, creating one large civil force and then underfunded it. NZ cannot now decide to be big bossy boots as it won't work, it is not possible to mobilise the gendarmerie as it completely lacks one. Thus, areas of the country cannot be isolated, the resources do not exist to do it.

And forget the army, those military bases are empty. NZ is so weak it can't pull the skin off a rice pudding. 

The answer is to hope and pray. Trust that people will behave and isolate when required to. Wash hands, cover sneezes and coughs etc. That's it, there ain't no more. Good luck Kiwiland.

[ Update@ 14/03/2020 - the NZ government has announced it is requiring all inbound travellers to self-isolate for 14 days. This is voluntary and cannot be rigidly policed (see above as to why not), I expect a bail out of Air New Zealand is on the horizon, it always gets the handouts, hotels and motels will not be so lucky]

[Update @ 09/06/2020 - after several weeks of the most all-encompassing lockdown in the world, NZ has emerged with a broken tourism sector, a national debt level that is at record highs, widespread unemployment, and a closed border. NZ did actually close that border but some flights still occur, possibly to ensure air freight continues. It's a huge mess, but the way NZ's dear leader spins it, she's saved the country from its imminent demise. If you put this in a novel no-one would believe it. Now NZ has no resistance to the virus, and must stay shut away, potentially for years. ]

Christchurch Shooter Theory

Persistent rumours in Christchurch, New Zealand say that there was more than one shooter involved in the terror attack of March 15, 2019 where 50 people were killed and many more wounded. This theory comes about because it seemed that the two mosques were attacked at the same time. Yesterday the Police put out the route the shooter took and so what I then did is drive that route and time it.

What I found is the route disclosed by the Police takes 19 minutes and 10 seconds to complete (19'10"). Therefore, there was only one shooter and the Linwood mosque was attacked 11 minutes after the Deans Ave atrocity.

This was the route I took; Deans, Harper, Bealey, Fitzgerald, Linwood, Aldwins, Ensors and Brougham. Along Brougham to the eventual location of capture on Brougham street just short of Strickland street.

Being a visitor to Christchurch he could have got to the Linwood Ave mosque from Deans Ave quicker by taking an alternative route, but that would only be 30 seconds or so faster. There are several sections of the drive where it is possible to exceed the speed limit easily and they are; Harper, Linwood, Aldwins and Ensors. Taking this into account and that the shooter would likely speed where possible (note there was no damage to his car), my time and the time he took are likely the same when allowing for time of day factors.

So rest easy, the Police have it right, there was one shooter and he covered the distance all by himself. Why then did Christchurch have helicopters in the sky every night for days afterward? I have no idea exactly, but at the time I thought the Police must be tracking the white supremacists dispersing their guns and drugs. 

Christchurch Mosque Shootings

By now the world will be aware that Christchurch has had a terrible terrorist attack. White supremacists have attacked and killed 49 people across two sites, the mosque on Deans Ave by Hagley Park and the mosque on Linwood Ave.

Many more are in Christchurch Hospital and are in a critical condition. Twelve operating theatres are in use trying to save people.

Arrests have been made but given the level of planning involved in the attacks, I suspect there are others behind this. We need to know who these co-conspirators and instigators are.

Schools were in lock-down all afternoon and they may have been targeting schools as well. I notice that in the TV footage of the arrests, one suspect was arrested outside Papanui High School, while another was driven off the road and arrested near Addington Primary School. This appears to be a remarkable coincidence, both suspects near or right outside schools and the police were telling all schools to go into lock-down.

Also, on Thursday James Shaw the Green Party co-leader was punched in Wellington and hospitalised. The assailant was reported to say something about the UN before punching Shaw. One of the suspects in Christchurch, Brenton Tarrant had UN Convention on Migration scrawled across the magazine of his rifle in photos posted online. This also seems to be a remarkable coincidence.

It could be New Zealand has a far-right terrorist cell operating in the country right now. The police have cordoned off Somerville Street in Dunedin (4.5 hours south of Christchurch by car) and nearby residents were being evacuated. Does this property have explosives? Or is this where the terrorists were making the bombs found in Christchurch on Friday? Police have confirmed this property is connected to the Friday events.

A bomb threat was reported at the Britomart in Auckland on Friday, the police neutralised the two suitcases.
