Don't believe the hype, EVs are toast. The subsidies have ended, and guess what, they don't stack up as a sensible purchase.

Porsche's EV Blunder

Porsche treated their customers with contempt by producing cars not based on the internal combustion engine. Porsche makes fast cars, not sewing machines. 

The future is not EVs. EVs are a cult. They're junk, and anyone who buys a battery electric vehicle is throwing their money away. In a few years', if you own one, not only will your EV be worthless, but you'll have to pay to have it removed from your property and disposed of. I can see the day coming when EV owners abandon their cars by the side of the road.

A fool and his money are easily parted - remember that.

Tesla Shares Drop

Tesla's share price dropped in the last trading session (Yahoo Finance) and down 28% for the year-to-date. But, I did notice a rise in price over the previous few days leading to this latest dip. What's up with that? Tesla make the world's worst automobile, and one model, the Cybertruck is a disgrace to trucks everywhere. It is probably the worst car ever built. 

The conclusion I have come to is that Tesla is a Ponzi scheme, and fools tip money in to try and extract some value. The shareholders left at the end, when it call comes crashing down, will be the ones left holding the bag. One clever commentator explained that Tesla doesn't make its money on the cars, but on crypto currency and taxpayer subsidies. I can believe that, but have no special insight on the matter, I just look at how bad the car is and think the company must go bust.

Tesla shares fell almost 6% on Wednesday as data from Europe showed slowing sales last month, and investors grew increasingly concerned about President Donald Trump’s plan for tariffs.

The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) revealed on Tuesday that Tesla saw a 40% year-over-year drop in new vehicle registrations in Europe in February, while overall battery electric vehicle sales were up 26%.

Car Carrier Burns

Yet again, we have a Car Carrier catching fire and the crew abandoning ship. This fire is on a ship off the Dutch coast. It is reported the fire started in an electric vehicle (EV). There are 498 EV's on board (earlier reports say 25, that's wrong).

The problem with fires like this is they're very hard to put out. EV's burn intensely and the fire cannot be extinguished. On a ship like this, water can only be used sparingly as the vessel is naturally top heavy anyway, and if you pump water on board the boat can capsize.

EV's are dangerous. If they do catch fire, they burn furiously. This ship will likely sink or be sunk. But imagine an EV fire in a parking building, the heat could easily weaken the structure and lead to collapse. 

EV's aren't suitable for everyday transport across the whole fleet. The vehicles themselves are heavy due to the batteries, wearing out roads and bridges. And old parking buildings were never built to carry the extra weight. As they age and you add more weight, you shorten the life of buildings. Then, add the risk of fire that cannot be put out.

You'll never run out of reasons as to why EV's are a dud.

The Dutch coast guard said Thursday that the cause of the fire was unclear and that only about 25 of the vehicles on the ship were EVs, but in the audio of an emergency call released by Dutch broadcaster RTL, someone can be heard saying "the fire started in the battery of an electric car."

Geoff Buys Cars has become something of a YouTube celebrity. He calls out the deep state, accurately predicting that ULEZ areas in England were just a way to gather road user charges, not save the planet. Here he points out that EV's aren't as environmentally friendly as you may think. Personally, I think the future is hydrogen internal combustion engines.

The Truth about EV's

EV's and electric bicycles, mountains of them simply discarded. They're an environmental disaster and completely useless to boot. The Greens promoting this nonsense are either insane, corrupt, or both.

In the embedded video, the woman speaking makes my argument exactly. EV's are being promoted to lock people up. Consider women with an abusive partner. If you cannot travel far and your partner controls access to energy, you're trapped. Think about it.

Farmers - Wake Up

With the car tax, err, I mean support for EV's now upon us, time to remind New Zealand farmers how stupid they are. They constantly vote CCP National. This means the other parties don't give a flying fu** about farmers. And CCP National don't care either as they can count on farmers no matter what.

And then Ardern could, possibly, maybe, wink wink, steal or transfer their party votes whichever way she likes, just so Hollywood and the movie makes her look good. Muslims one minute, farmers the next and saving the planet. Everyone must play their part in her rise to superstardom and total wonderfulness.

Here's a suggestion farmers. Get off China's teat and stop thinking the CCP National Party of Wokeland Aotearoa will some day save your sorry arses. They won't, even if they win an election some time this millennium, they'll just give you your money back in order to take it away again in some other way.

No, what you've got to do is create uncertainty. Or join the Greens and use the democratic process to take them over. When I suggested that on Twitter last year, the Greens just about had brain aneurisms they were that apoplectic with rage. But really do it. If farmers got off their fat Hilux-riding arses and behaved strategically, they could shut down the Greens and have an honest debate about the direction of the country. Cosying up to the traitors that are the CCP National Dimwits is not the answer.
