The corrupt politicians will tell everyone there is no oil in Australia or New Zealand. Quite the contrary, both contain massive resources of oil that are almost diesel coming up out of the ground.

OpenStar Nuclear Fusion
New Zealand nuclear fusion company, OpenStar Technologies, has reached a critical milestone, and the NZ Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, was there to push the big green button as the process was turned on in Wellington.
OpenStar could do a better job of explaining exactly what they're doing. Imagine we are all 10 years old. I say this because I'm left wondering what exactly this milestone was?

Wellington City Water
The capital city of New Zealand has a problem; 45% of the city's potable water is lost due to leaks.
That's a lot of water lost and water restrictions have been introduced. But the council refuse to do anything about it, leaks can be literally found on every street. It is below Third World.
What the council are doing is holding the region to ransom, and demanding money from the taxpayer through central government.
Solution: the NZ Government should step in, sack the Wellington City Council and put in place a commissioner to run the city. This happened to Environment Canterbury previously, and it worked.
Do it now, be firm and decisive.

Analysis of Media Coverage of Parliament Protest 2022
It's a year since the Labour government crushed peaceful dissent. A new report finds the media were heavily biased, becoming shills for tyranny:
Key findings are:
- 72% of media coverage made no attempt to report the concerns, and many of those articles which did mention their concerns reported them alongside critical commentary.
- around 20 stories (just 3% of the total 599 reviewed) featured quotes from protestors, many of whom were happy to be named. There were only a couple of stories that profiled protesters in any depth.
- the direct coverage of the protests focused on the more controversial and possibly fringe elements of the group. Little effort was made to report the impact mandates had had on the lives of the protestors or the validity of questioning the use of mandates.
- the media failed to do a true assessment of what kind of people made up the protest and their motivation to be there. Most protesters were motivated by opposition to mandates, support for freedom of choice, concerns about children being vaccinated, and the loss of jobs.
- just under half of all coverage of the protesters’ concerns was by those speaking about the protest rather than to the protestors directly. Nearly all the commentary was negative and critical, at times derisive and dismissive.

Peter Jackson vs Wellington City Council
Peter Jackson is involved in a running argument with the Mayor of Wellington over plans for the redevelopment of Shelly Bay.
I had to laugh when reading about this. It must be an age related thing as I can relate to Jackson's concerns, and he has asked the Council to open its books:

Many will say that Peter Jackson is simply pushing his weight around. The way I look at it; finally someone with the weight behind him can hold a council to task. Keep up the good fight Sir Peter.

New Zealand Government Put Their Own Interests First
What has been the first announcement from the government following the recent earthquakes, the worst of which has left State Highway 1 blocked and Kaikoura township isolated, hmm?
Oh that's right, they've made a major announcement to build themselves new buildings in Wellington. Suck on that Kaikoura, see, they really don't care about you.

And that goes for the rest of the lower South Island too, you can just be fodder for the price gouging now going on.
Yes, price gouging, transport operators have lifted prices by as much as 20%, well the extra distance they travel doesn't change their fixed costs, and only adds a marginal increase in variable costs; taken across the whole load there is no way every shipment needs to increase by anywhere near as much (this is a simple arithmetic exercise but I guess if you're an investor then some of the listed transport companies make good buying right now).
C'mon New Zealand, you need to take this country back from these incompetent fools.
