Innovative Payroll Service and it's a Charity

I came across the following great idea. If you're a small to medium New Zealand employer looking for a payroll service that handles just about everything for your business, then Thankyou Payroll may be the answer.

The thing about this is it's almost completely free. The only reason I say 'almost' is because there are one or two charges. But you pay no monthly or annual fees on most of their plans. The only set up fee I could find was a $50 charge for their direct debit plan.

The idea works like this, you engage Thankyou Payroll to handle all payroll for your business. They look after filing and paying Inland Revenue, they pay your staff, manage holiday entitlements and so on. For this service you donate to their charitable foundation so much each week for each employee or donate a fixed monthly amount.

Remember that charitable giving is deductible, so you can claim these sums back, and you help society to boot.

Read about their plans and pricing here: https://thankyoupayroll.co.nz/plans-and-pricing.html

Note that the cheapest of the plans is for those employers that qualify for the IRD subsidy, you donate a tiny sum from that subsidy. They provide a calculator on the page to work out if you qualify. You pay no more than $1.25 per day on this plan.

My pick is the one day processing at $0.50 donated for each employee. The money turns up in their account two days later (say you pay to Thankyou Payroll on Monday for the prior Monday to Sunday work week. They pay your workers Tuesday night, the money shows up in their accounts Wednesday.)

You can switch plans at your leisure and cancel at any time. This is very flexible and did I mention it's all free. They cover their costs from Inland Revenue subsidies. They have offices in Dunedin and Wellington, they have hundreds of clients and they're processing millions of dollars each week.

    1. Your link does not say if its a charity. I'll leave it up for now but it will be taken down if so much as one complaint is received about the service you're promoting.
