Jacinda Ardern Steps Down

The big question comes now that New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern has announced her resignation.

Was she pushed or did she go willingly?

Right now is an odd time to step aside. With the General Election due in 2023, she's dropped her caucus team in it. They'll struggle to obtain any traction over the months leading into the campaign season.

Make no mistake, Ardern will go down as New Zealand's worst ever Prime Minister. Worse even than Bill Rowling. What, did you think I'd mention Robert Muldoon? No way, he loved his country and always did what he thought was best. He wanted to see New Zealand fully develop.

Jacinda Ardern leaves the country in tatters. The people are downtrodden and the economy a mess. Things are so bad, there may be no coming back from this. 

What the new PM could do is immediately scrap the state of emergency that the government uses to beat the people with. We want our basic human rights back, something Ardern took from us. She's a World Economic Forum puppet and prefers Big Tech censorship, Big Pharma poison, and creepy weirdo let it all hang loose cancel culture (it's as if I'm starting to wake up from a nightmare knowing that she is going).

She won't be missed. No doubt she'll move on to work for the WEF or the UN or she'll perhaps take up some Big Tech leadership role. She'll have to leave the country, that's how hated she is. And as they say in the movies, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Boris Johnson's Proposed EU Deal

Under Mr Johnson's proposals, which he calls a "broad landing zone" for a new deal with the EU:

• Northern Ireland would leave the EU's customs union alongside the rest of the UK, at the start of 2021
• But Northern Ireland would, with the consent of politicians in the Northern Ireland Assembly, continue to apply EU legislation relating to agricultural and other products - what he calls an "all-island regulatory zone"
• This arrangement could, in theory, continue indefinitely, but the consent of Northern Ireland's politicians would have to be sought every four years
• Customs checks on goods traded between the UK and EU would be "decentralised", with paperwork submitted electronically and only a "very small number" of physical checks
• These checks should take place away from the border itself, at business premises or at "other points in the supply chain"

The government is also promising a "New Deal for Northern Ireland", with financial commitments to help manage the changes.

Prorogation

People have found a new word, prorogation. Those in the UK trying to derail Brexit are calling the Prime Minister's proroguing of parliament a coup. Err, except far from it. To prorogue parliament means to discontinue a session. It is not a coup as parliament is not being overthrown, power is not being seized illegally. The bluster from those complaining is quite incredible but also very funny. The PM has every right to govern, especially when you consider he intends exercising the will of the people which was the result of the referendum held in 2016, and that was to leave the EU. Get over it and get on with it.

Boris Johnson Cleans House

Britain's new Prime Minister has sent a clear signal of how he intends to lead his country, bringing in hard line Brexit supporters and sacking those he doesn't trust. Finally, Brexit seems nearer.

Theresa May was always lukewarm on this whole Brexit thing. She wanted to keep everyone happy but only succeeded in making everyone depressed. She was too timid and at times indecisive. Sometimes just making any decision and sticking to it is better than no decision at all.

What can we expect from Johnson? It looks like a hard Brexit at this stage. But now they see which way things are headed, there remains the possibility the EU will buckle. Unlike many others, I think the EU stand to lose more if they oppose a more friendly divorce arrangement. That's because of the intangibles and things such as defence. If the EU are difficult, Britain may be less inclined to defend Western Europe. The cost of that task will be left to Germany who currently freeload off the UK and USA. Yes, NATO and all that, but the UK could easily sit on its hands.

This new Britain may pivot to the Pacific where they have considerable territory. That could involve joining the TPPA (or whatever they call it now). It may also engage more with Africa. Both regions offer more trade possibilities than the tired and indebted EU.

NZ School Funding: Predictive Risk Modelling

New Zealand society is about to change forever, it will mean an end to the 'give everyone a fair go' Kiwi concept and a new darker future where Kiwis will be ranked according to their familial surroundings and social status. What I'm talking about is Predictive Risk Modelling and linking that to funding of NZ schools. >>Link explaining the issue here<<

Why is this a bad idea? It stigmatises. Consider a child with no criminal record, doing okay at school, well behaved, gets along with others. But she comes from a broken home, father is in jail and a brother in jail as well. Mother was raped in the past, sister the victim of sex abuse. That child who is doing okay will be tagged a risk. Extra funding is made available to any school that takes her. The child carries a code that attracts funding and extra attention. But why?  She is not a victim apart from being in a difficult family, and has committed no crime.

The incompetent Prime Minister of NZ, Simon English is behind this. He hates the poor and wants to see all disadvantaged persecuted. NZ is on a very slippery slope, one where some will be tagged for life, while others receive a free pass. It is a very dangerous precedent.

Stop obsessing over whether NZ has surpluses and instead work toward fully funding all schools in NZ, so parents don't have to put their hands in their pockets. That'd solve the issue. Educate, educate and then educate some more. Stop with this find someone to blame nonsense and rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Bill English and Employment Drug Testing

Once again we see why Bill English is unfit to lead New Zealand. He thinks workers are lazy and drug addicted. >>See Labour's reaction here<<  On top of that, he doesn't even know what the law is on drug testing. Here's a guide from the government he leads:

It is the employers responsibility to deliver a safe workplace, and it is better to work on prevention rather than trying to manage the effects of drugs and alcohol. This is the official line.

What do employers need not do? They do not have to test prospective employees nor do they have to randomly test all employees. They cannot even target an individual for a test if that is not provided for in their employment agreement. I score the Prime Minister a D- on this effort. Not only is he a bigot, he's uninformed and stupid as well.

When swimmable is not really swimmable

Now we get to see just how incompetent Bill English and his best friend Nick Smith really are. They do not understand that you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. What the National led government of New Zealand have done is lower the standard by which water quality is measured. Dirty is the new clean. It's nothing more than outrageous.

And why is Nick Smith, Minister of Friendship with the Prime Minister, referencing overseas standards? North America and Europe have screwed over their environment, why should New Zealand do the same?

National is a political party for farmers, so it is to be expected they'd protect their own. But the reason we're in this situation is because New Zealand failed to do two things, and this will be very unpalatable for the Greens to hear.

New Zealand failed to exploit mining, and it failed to develop secondary manufacturing. Had it done both, then the land would not need to be flogged the way it is now and the rivers would be clean. Instead what we have are thousands of farms irrigating like billy-o and polluting heavily. Or the rivers don't even reach the sea in some cases.

It didn't need to be this way, but New Zealand jumped on the Thatcherite bandwagon and threw the baby out with the bathwater, gutting the country's manufacturing as it existed back in the 1980's. Then latterly the Greens, who are simply communists re-branded and can't be trusted with anything, oppose mining on any level. Grow up New Zealand, minerals in commercial quantities are concentrated in certain areas, unlock those minerals and sit back and de-intensify the farmland. Then make stuff in factories and export that output.

Divide Australia Up

I've been laughing about Donald Trump having strong words with Australia's Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull (or Trumble, either will do, no worries). Trump is so naive at times, doesn't he realise that Australia is like a spoilt child. They want to have their cake and eat it.

To be fair, there is another side to the story. Australia buys a lot of military equipment from the US. Big ticket items like F/A 18's, Abrams M1 main battle tanks and Harpoon missiles to name a few. In doing their deal with Obama, whereby the US takes refugees held on Pacific Islands and refused entry to Australia, they were effectively calling in a debt.

Well Trump doesn't see it like that and doesn't seem to care. On that score, while there is a lot to dislike about the man, this time he has got it right.

If we take this seriously and look at Australia, there is no reason for it to exist. It is an anachronism. They've conducted genocide against the indigenous people, raped the environment and want the world to thank them for it. Well enough, let's tell them they don't get to keep all those resources and land they're sitting on when useful hard working and thrifty people need it.

My solution is this; let India have Western Australia, plenty of room there for India's huge population to grow. Indonesia can take the middle of Australia. From the Western Australia eastern border through to the Great Dividing Range. They need all of this as a lot of it is flood plain so of no real use. They'd use mostly the fertile area to the north and very south.

Then lastly, New Zealand takes all of Australia east of the Great Dividing Range and Tasmania. That way the cities like Brisbane and Sydney stay within an English legal framework, but the indigenous people get their rights respected. New Zealand is very good at all this indigenous stuff, reconciliation, you name it, they've been doing it for a century or more.

It's a win/win all round. Australia would cease to exist, as it should.
