I drew the following map of New Zealand to illustrate the areas worth exploring for oil and gas. The area marked in orange is a producing area, while the pink areas are highly likely to be producing. You may notice that offshore two of these pink areas overlap the productive zone.
Get your drilling rigs ready, there is oil and gas, natural shows where up from the ground came a bubbling crude, oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.
