Kash Patel in Wellington

FBI director, Kash Patel has been seen visiting the Beehive in Wellington. The Beehive is where the executive wing of government is housed, and where New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters hangs out. He was in his office today, so connect the dots.

Why would Kash Patel be in Wellington? Could it, perhaps, have something to do with Russiagate? Time will tell, but normally NZ does not receive high level people, even if it is part of Five Eyes and all that.

Start arresting people, we all now know Obama conducted a years-long coup, starting in 2016 after Donald Trump won the election.

FBI director Kash Patel is in New Zealand and has made a visit to the Beehive.

Patel, a former adviser to United States President Donald Trump, was seen by the Herald in the basement this afternoon.

It’s understood Patel has left the Parliament precinct. His visit to the seventh floor of the Beehive suggests he visited Foreign Minister Winston Peters.

The Herald has approached Peters and Defence Minister Judith Collins. The Government has not confirmed his visit.

The FBI will be setting up a permanent office in New Zealand's capital, after the director Kash Patel met with several ministers, the heads of the police and New Zealand's spy agencies.

The US Embassy in Wellington confirmed in a statement plans for a "dedicated law enforcement attaché office" in the city.

"While the FBI has stationed personnel in New Zealand for several years, establishing a full Legat position in the country will strengthen and enhance the long-standing cooperation with a key Five Eyes partner in the southwestern Pacific region," the statement said.

"This new upgraded office will continue to work with our New Zealand partners to address shared priority areas through joint investigations, information sharing, and capacity-building.

Diddy Trial

I sometimes check in on the trial of P Diddy, the music industry bigwig facing several US federal criminal charges. I embed here, Nate The Lawyer who outlines the charges Diddy faces, and how the trial is progressing.

The short answer: the trial is not going well for Diddy. 

What I want to know is how Diddy managed to make so much money while being so incredibly stupid? All this activity of his was very hard work (excuse the pun), and never going to end well. I saw reports on Cassie Ventura and Dawn Richard's testimony (many may remember, she was one of the two black women in Diddy's 'Coming Home' video) which were very damning. He's facing life in prison when he could be sitting on a beach somewhere, fishing. 

Dan Bongino Named

OK, Donald Trump will be going after people; he's just named Dan Bongino as deputy director of the FBI. He's the guy who absolutely ripped the FBI into shreds during his podcasts following the assassination attempt of Trump in Pennsylvania.

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg Suddenly Free Speech Advocates

Both Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg seem to be reading the room and changing position. With Trump soon to be sworn in, they're now embracing free speech, while for four years of the Biden regime, they've been suppressing voices, anti-science, and spreading government propaganda. 

This must also explain Musk jumping on the bandwagon with Trump late in the game, and now his new campaign to bring down the Labour government in the UK.

I don't trust Musk and I don't trust Zuckerberg either. They're both creations of the US Government and not any kind of entrepreneur nor inventor. Musk makes the world's worst automobile, the Tesla EV which is doomed as soon as it loses its trendy tag, while his rockets are unreliable. The only thing Musk has managed to achieve is Starlink, whereby people can connect to the internet anywhere, even when at sea. This has revolutionised travel by sea, previously the internet was very expensive and slow when too far out. But that's about it, I cannot think of anything else that Musk does that amounts to anything. His tunnel boring machines were laughable, these types of machines have been in widespread use for over 70 years, but he promoted his company as if it was something new. Twitter, meanwhile, is simply an FBI operation offering back doors to every government whereby they monitor everyone, and provide governments the means to silence dissident voices.

Zuckerberg, likewise, with Facebook and the like is not doing anything new, and in fact his services are worse than predecessors. He appears to have been set up by the CIA or Department of Defense; on the day Facebook incorporated, Lifelog closed down. Lifelog was operated by the Department of Defense to create a data record of everyone on earth. Facebook now does that. Ask yourself this: how does a university dropout with no new ideas manage to get set up with millions behind him?

While the Trump days to come will no doubt be very entertaining, I'm not holding out any hope for any meaningful reforms. Trump will likely get distracted, clowns will take over, and dishonest men will grift aplenty.

FBI Renew Investigation of Hillary Clinton

Reading between the lines, it looks like the FBI have got their noses out of joint. It may be that the new emails they've discovered don't cross-reference with what Hillary has already provided them. Oh dear, if that's the case, she may face obstruction charges or worse. This is a gift to the Trump campaign.

Apple vs FBI

It can be done. Apple can access the Farook phone.

Here's the tech blog post that outlines how to do it. Farook had an iPhone 5C, which doesn't have a secure enclave, making the task much easier:-

After the elimination of passcode delays, it will take a half hour to recover a 4-digit PIN, hours to recover a 6-digit PIN, or years to recover a 6-character alphanumeric password. It has not been reported whether the recovered iPhone uses a 4-digit PIN or a longer, more complicated alphanumeric passcode.

I believe it is technically feasible for Apple to comply with all of the FBI’s requests in this case. On the iPhone 5C, the passcode delay and device erasure are implemented in software and Apple can add support for peripheral devices that facilitate PIN code entry. In order to limit the risk of abuse, Apple can lock the customized version of iOS to only work on the specific recovered iPhone and perform all recovery on their own, without sharing the firmware image with the FBI.

The way I read this is, first you get access to the phone in recovery mode using a signature from Apple, then as there is no secure enclave to worry about on this model of phone, you force your way in, but the hardware key query on each attempt slows things down. It could take years without Apple's help in that regard if Farook used a long alphanumeric. If he didn't use an alphanumeric then it would take minutes or possibly hours.

This is brilliant marketing by Apple, but is it socially and ethically correct to refuse the FBI's request? I think it is fairly easy to do, won't set a precedent that will impact us all, so do it.
