Somewhat of a surprise this; Prince Andrew has lost his titles and will henceforth be called Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. He will also lose his residence, Royal Lodge.
However, this does bring with it the risk that Andrew could now put out a tell-all book, dropping the firm in it. Charles must be of the view that Andrew won't do that, or that Andrew doesn't have any dirt.
Hmm.
With the technology being available, should the British Royal Family be subject to a DNA test, to ensure only those descending from the blood of the Monarch are included in the Line of Succession.
King Charles III has been sworn in and crowned so he cannot be touched. But the technology could be applied to all those in the top 30 below him. It wouldn't be that complicated. If anyone fails, all their children are immediately cancelled.
If Prince William failed, all his children are also immediately removed. The same then applies to Prince Harry and on down the line. This would ensure purity of the genes.
Parliament could pass such a law. It makes sense, but imagine the squeals from those required to undergo a test. If they refused, they'd also be removed from the line.
