The biggest thing going on right now in Washington DC is a major cleanout of the swamp. Remember in 2016, Donald Trump campaigned on draining the swamp. He was elected, much to his own surprise, and then he tried to deal with the swamp - big mistake. The swamp creatures organised against him, and did all they could to undermine and derail.
Then in 2020, Trump was removed from office. A coup occurred, placing a senile Joe Biden into office. The resulting nightmare almost brought the US to its knees.
But, Trump caught his second wind, and he gained the backing of the oligarchs. Basically, Wall Street figured they'd screwed up. So, Trump was elected in 2024 and comes into office knowing how the swamp operates and he's ready to turn the tables over and effect change.
Thinking about this; Trump isn't conservative, he's a radical.
