Peter Thiel is one very strange Dude. He bought New Zealand citizenship at one point, what was that all about? He's been reported as in Argentina, they're welcome to him, stay there Mr Thiel and while you're at it, take Elon Musk with you. But the strangest thing of all is his vision for the future. He and a few of his billionaire mates see a future that is a techno feudal state. I laugh when I hear about this stuff as these people seem to think they'll prosper from such a thing. Err...no, they'd be disposable. What do these Peter Thiel types actually do? They're not useful, so all those who are useful would simply dispose of them.

AI Is Flawed, Here's the Case
AI is selling our own work back to us. They're charging consumers for information they themselves have not paid to acquire. In the near future, all those impacted will demand they be fairly compensated for their work, and that's when the edifice falls apart.

Right To Repair
Watching the below documentary, I thought here's even more reason to stick with the old and trusted. My car is 20 years old, it goes just fine and can be repaired by anyone. Personally, I'm not interested in advanced diagnostics. My own experience in quarrying is that the more techie things get, the more shutdowns you have, with sensors throwing up errors and shutting things down when they needn't. All these shutdowns cost money in lost production, and prices have to be adjusted upward as a result.
